Parung Panjang, 18 November 2024, Prestasi membanggakan kembali diraih oleh siswa MAN 5 Bogor dalam ajang bergengsi KONI CUP Series-5 Indonesia Taekwondo Championship 2024 . Kompetisi yang berlangsung pada 14-17 November 2024 di Indoor Stadion Sport Center Tangerang, Banten, menjadi saksi keberhasilan Reza Khairullah Yasmir (kelas XII IPS 1) meraih Juara 1 di cabang kyorugi senior putra U-54 kg.
KONI Cup Series 5 ini diikuti oleh 3.230 peserta dari 217 klub dan 13 provinsi di seluruh Indonesia. Kompetisi mempertandingkan empat nomor pertandingan, yakni Pomsae Prestasi, Pomsae Pemula, Kyorugi Prestasi, dan Kyorugi Pemula. Ke-13 provinsi yang berpartisipasi antara lain DKI Jakarta, Jawa Barat, Jawa Tengah, DI Yogyakarta, Lampung, Sumatra Utara, Jambi, Jawa Timur, Kalimantan Timur, Banten, Sumatra Barat, Kalimantan Utara, dan Nusa Tenggara Barat, sebagaimana dilansir pada laman Portal KONI.

Kepala MAN 5 Bogor, Safwan Maulana, M.Pd., mengapresiasi pencapaian Reza yang membawa nama baik madrasah ke tingkat nasional. "Ini adalah kebanggaan besar bagi MAN 5 Bogor. Reza telah membuktikan bahwa dengan dedikasi, kerja keras, dan doa, siswa madrasah mampu bersaing di kancah nasional. Kami berharap prestasi ini menjadi inspirasi bagi siswa lainnya," ujar beliau.
Reza sendiri menyatakan rasa syukur dan terima kasih atas dukungan semua pihak, termasuk guru, pelatih, dan teman-temannya. "Saya sangat bersyukur atas pencapaian ini. Terima kasih kepada semua yang telah mendukung saya, terutama pelatih yang selalu membimbing selama latihan. Semoga ini menjadi langkah awal untuk prestasi berikutnya," ungkap Reza.
Keberhasilan ini semakin mengukuhkan MAN 5 Bogor sebagai madrasah yang tidak hanya unggul di bidang akademik tetapi juga di bidang olahraga. Semoga prestasi ini menjadi langkah awal menuju kejayaan yang lebih besar di masa depan.
