Parungpanjang, 20 Agustus 2024 - Dalam rangka memperingati Hari Ulang Tahun Republik Indonesia (HUT RI) ke-79, Kecamatan Parungpanjang menggelar lomba gerak jalan yang diikuti oleh berbagai sekolah dan komunitas di wilayah tersebut. Regu gerak jalan putera dan puteri dari MAN 5 Bogor tampil gemilang dengan meraih juara 1 dan juara 2 dalam ajang bergengsi tersebut.
Lomba yang diadakan pada 16 Agustus 2024 ini diikuti oleh puluhan peserta dari berbagai sekolah dan organisasi kepemudaan. Masing-masing regu berusaha menampilkan kekompakan, semangat nasionalisme, dan ketepatan waktu dalam mengikuti rute yang telah ditentukan oleh panitia, yakni start di lapangan kecamatan Parungpanjang, melewati kawasan Perumahan Sentraland, Kabasiran dan finish di lapangan kecamatan Parungpanjang dengan jarak tempuh kurang lebih 12 KM.

Regu gerak jalan putera MAN 5 Bogor berhasil meraih juara pertama berkat kerja sama dan semangat juang yang tinggi. Sementara itu, regu puteri MAN 5 Bogor tidak kalah hebat dengan berhasil menyabet juara kedua, dan juara harapan 2 menunjukkan bahwa semangat dan prestasi tidak hanya milik para putera.
Kepala MAN 5 Bogor, Safwan Maulana, menyampaikan rasa bangga dan apresiasi yang tinggi kepada para siswa yang telah membawa nama baik madrasah di kancah kecamatan. "Ini adalah bukti bahwa kedisiplinan dan semangat kebersamaan yang diajarkan di MAN 5 Bogor membuahkan hasil. Saya sangat bangga dengan prestasi yang telah diraih, semoga ini menjadi motivasi bagi siswa lainnya untuk terus berprestasi," ujarnya.
Dengan kemenangan ini, MAN 5 Bogor kembali menegaskan posisinya sebagai salah satu institusi pendidikan yang tidak hanya unggul di bidang akademik, tetapi juga dalam kegiatan non-akademik. Prestasi ini diharapkan dapat memicu semangat para siswa untuk terus berkontribusi dalam mengharumkan nama madrasah di berbagai bidang.
Lomba gerak jalan ini merupakan salah satu dari rangkaian kegiatan yang diselenggarakan oleh Kecamatan Parungpanjang untuk memperingati HUT RI ke-79, yang bertujuan untuk menumbuhkan rasa cinta tanah air dan semangat kebangsaan di kalangan generasi muda.
