Rabu (30/11/2023), Gina Sofiyana menjadi kebanggaan bagi sekolah MAN 5
Bogor yang telah berhasil meraih Medali Perunggu dalam kejuaraan karate provinsi
Jawa Barat 2023 "piala pangdam lll Siliwangi "yang diadakan oleh PB.
BKC Jawa Barat pada tanggal 24 – 26 November 2023. Kejuaraan ini di ikuti oleh
1800 peserta dari seluruh wilayah di Jawa Barat.
Lebih lanjut setelah berakhirnya pembiasaan dhuha, Ibu Ema Rachmawati, M.Pd selaku kepala MAN 5 Bogor turut memberikan apresiasi kepada Gina. "Apresiasi yang tinggi kami sampaikan untuk Gina yang sudah mengharumkan nama baik sekolah," Kami juga ucapkan terima kasih sebanyak - banyaknya kepada bapak Erik Supriatna selaku Pembina karate di MAN 5 Bogor yang sudah melatih dan mendampingi Gina hingga akhirnya menjadi juara”

Menurutnya, Kejuaraan ini salah satu cara untuk mengevaluasi atlet-atlet sejauh
mana perkembangan latihan selama ini. " Sekali lagi terima kasih kepada
semua pihak yang sudah memperlancar jalannya even ini semoga kedepannya menjadi
motivasi untuk para siswa - siswi yang lain, jika memang sulit berprestasi
dibidang akademik maka kejarlah prestasi non akademik. "Bagi yang belum
meraih medali jangan kecewa teruskan berlatih karna masih banyak even yang akan
datang . Teruslah berlatih raih prestasi setinggi-tingginya demi kejayaan
karate di MAN 5 Bogor," ujarnya.
Memang bukan kali pertama atlet yang dikirim oleh MAN 5 Bogor berhasil
memboyong medali disetiap kejuaraanya baik ditingkat kabupaten, provinsi maupun
ditingkat nasional. ini menjadi salah satu bukti bahwa di MAN 5 Bogor selalu berusaha
menfasilitasi para siswa / siswinya baik melalui ekstrakulikuler atau kegiatan
lainnya untuk terus berproses dan berusaha meraih prestasi sebanyak –
banyaknya.
