Parungpanjang, 17 Agustus 2023 - Dalam suasana penuh semangat dan kebersamaan, seluruh komunitas MAN 5 Bogor berkumpul di Lapangan Kecamatan Parungpanjang untuk mengikuti upacara peringatan Hari Ulang Tahun Republik Indonesia (HUT RI) ke-78. Siswa, guru, dan tata usaha sekolah bersatu dalam momen bersejarah ini untuk mengenang dan menghormati perjuangan para pahlawan yang telah menjadikan Indonesia bangsa merdeka.
Sejak pagi hari, siswa dan guru MAN 5 Bogor berjalan memenuhi ruas jalan Moh. Toha. Para siswa ber lapangan tersebut telah dipadati oleh ribuan warga MAN 5 Bogor yang mengenakan seragam dan pakaian putih abu dan pramuka. Dalam barisan yang rapi dan teratur, seluruh siswa dari berbagai tingkat pendidikan, guru, dan staf tata usaha sekolah hadir dengan penuh semangat. Terlihat jelas bahwa semangat kemerdekaan masih sangat hidup di kalangan generasi muda.

Kepala MAN 5 Bogor, Ibu Anita Suryani, dalam pidato pembukaannya mengungkapkan rasa bangga atas antusiasme dan partisipasi aktif dari seluruh warga sekolah. "Generasi muda MAN 5 Bogor adalah penerus cita-cita perjuangan para pahlawan kita. Melalui momen peringatan HUT RI ini, kami berharap pesan-pesan kebangsaan dan cinta tanah air akan semakin tertanam dalam hati dan pikiran kalian," ujarnya.
Upacara diawali dengan pengibaran bendera merah putih yang dilakukan oleh tim PASKIBRA kecamatan Parungpanjang. Suasana lapangan menjadi hening saat lagu Indonesia Raya berkumandang dan mata semua hadirin tertuju pada bendera yang berkibar dengan gagah. Selanjutnya, dilanjutkan dengan pembacaan teks proklamasi oleh siswa perwakilan. Berbagai elemen kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam rangka memeriahkan upacara ini.
